Pilot Plant

For pilot tests of new processes including REED technology or changes in existing processes, Jurag Separation delivers pilot scale REED systems build on a mobile rig.

The pilot rig is fitted in a compact (55 cm x 86 cm, 150 cm tall) and still easily accessible metal frame fitted with wheels to allow the rig to be moved between different fermenter setups and storage when not used. The pilot rig on the picture can be used with typical fermentor sizes from 10-30 L in lactic acid systems, but will also be applicable in large scale mammalian cell fermentations.  

A larger REED pilot system can be adapted to existing process lines or pilot fermenters of approximately 100-500 litres. The pilot rig is able to extract approximately 150 equivalents of organic/inorganic acid/base pr. hour from a suitable process stream, e.g. fermentation broth.
