Laboratory Rigs
For small scale fermenters (sized 1-10 litres) and similar lab scale REED trials, Jurag Separation offers a compact lab rig, fully equipped with a flexible REED module, pumps and removable solution containers, power supply, sensors, and regulation control unit.
In lab scale, the REED module's active membrane area can be sized to fit different fermenter sizes as required. It is possible to use the incorporated heat-jacketed glass containers, which can easily be exchanged during operation if necessary, for Dialysate, cleaning and/or disinfection solutions. For other operations modes like single-pass mode for the Dialysate, it is possible to by-pass these and utilize external reservoirs.
The laboratory rig is typically able to extract up to 5 acid-or-base equivalents pr. hour, (organic or inorganic) from a feed solution, e.g. fermentation broth.
