Main Activities
Gunnar Jonsson is head of the Membrane Group at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU). He has been working with a wide range of both theoretical and practical applications of membrane technology:reverse osmosis, nanofiltration, ultrafiltration, microfiltration, diafiltration, dialysis, electrodialysisandbipolar membranetechnology,pervaporation, gas separation, membrane distillationandmembrane contactors.
Other filtration technologies within Gunnar Jonsson's research field includeion-exchangeandactivated carbon filtration. Gunnar Jonsson's work fields include transport phenomena in membranes, concentration polarization, gel formation and fouling of membranes as well as membrane formation and surface treatment and modification of membranes.
Gunnar Jonsson is author of about 100 scientific papers within the membrane science and technology field.
